🚗🐾 National Pet Travel Safety Day 🐾🚗
This sweet face belongs to Pixie, and while she looks like the perfect little co-pilot, today is a great reminder that our pets deserve the same safety considerations we give ourselves when we’re on the road.
Whether you’re heading to the vet, the park, or a road trip adventure, here are a few simple ways to keep your furry passengers safe:
✨ Secure your pet
Use a crash-tested harness, travel crate, or pet car seat to prevent injury during sudden stops.
✨ Back seat is best
Airbags can be dangerous for pets. The back seat is the safest place for them to ride.
✨ No laps or loose roaming
As tempting as it is, pets in laps or moving freely can be seriously injured—and can distract the driver.
✨ Take breaks on longer trips
Plan stops for water, potty breaks, and a little stretch time.
✨ Never leave pets in a parked car
Even on mild days, temperatures can rise quickly and become dangerous.
Pixie approves of safe travels—and so do I. 💕
