I’d say that Christian and I are about 20/60/20.

20% posed, 60% candid/documentary, 20% prompted

POSED— we set you up in a position you might not naturally be in. Think: Relatively still; holding a position; looking opposite directions; slightly more editorial look

CANDID— we capture the moment in all its glory. No direction, no telling you what to do or where to stand, just being present for all the emotions. Being present to document the rice being thrown, the cheeks being squeezed, the tears being shed

PROMPTED— think movement. Christian always says: motion creates emotion.

“Walk up the stairs at the same time”
“Run through this field”
“Jump on the bed”

There’s no one right way to document a wedding! Which is why we are a mixture of a bunch of different styles of capturing photos, because some moments call for you to step in and direct, and some moments call for you to take a step back and just capture everything that’s happening. 🫶🏽

PS if you’re awkward in front of the camera, we don’t leave you hanging 😂 we step in to give more direction when we feel like our couples want us to give more direction. Relax, we’ve done this once or twice 😉
