Definitely gonna offer slime sessions for the kids next summer. Her Dad told me that Aniya had always wanted to be slimed Nickelodeon-style. Say less! AND we got to surprise her with it, AND caught it on camera in dope images?! How many other kids have something like this to hang on their bedroom wall?! Truth be told, it kinda thrilled the kid in me too! Shot for my BE|Tween Project showing at the Academy Theatre in Hapeville in November.

From the Bay to the A. I've been in Atlanta about 18 months so allow me to reintroduce myself. I've been shooting professionally for 17 years-Full time for 14. I had my first studio in the Bay Area and my studio in Atlanta now is up near the Battery. What I'm known for is producing independent magazines, short film documentaries that accompany photo anthologies, and just in general, imagery that has a narrative quality. I produce very well done branding images, senior portraits, fine art commissions and editorial style portraiture. I am a single mama of three daughters, Raider fan, vegan-ish. I love art, museums, festivals, book stores, coffee, concerts, comedy shows, walks, botanical gardens, open mics, writing poetry, reading and crochet. I love the Beltine. (I'm a Beltine basic bop to be honest but I'm a transplant so, too bad. Sue me. 🤣) I love thrift shopping and fashion and in-person exchanges. I am a girl's girl. And I love Atlanta. Simone Alisa invited me to tag along to brunch at Breakfast at Barneys before hitting Gallery Anderson Smith for a showing of work by ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀Brill Adium and finally, dinner at Saints + Council The showing of work was just incredible, the food was perfect, but the company and the people I met were the highlight for sure. Took my eldest baby to her HIGHSCHOOL orientation today (Let's not talk about it-I just cannot 😭) and we decided to dip over for some shopping at 2W Thrift, one of my FAVORITE stores in Atlanta, before taking the littles to their open house. Our haul: [ME] 4 shirts, 1 denim jacket and 2 leychains (for the littles) [HER] 2 denim vests, 1 flannel and 2 pairs of shorts. Total: $103

My babies have been homeschooled for six years. The two youngest have never been to a public school. Sending them to school is the right decision for us, but it doesn't make it any easier on me. Today we hit the High Museum and Colony square on a quiet weekday-the kinds of things we've enjoyed the flexibility of doing for years. Even though this is what's best for us, it is bitter sweet. See you in the drop off line mamas.
