Emily and Michael's wedding was such a fairytale! From Emily's gorgeous dress to the amazing musicians who played and sang Emily's favorite Disney songs to the carriage Emily's dad made to surround the cupcakes to the little girls who came dressed up as princesses, every detail was beautiful and special. It was such a privilege to be a part of this wonderful day! Congratulations, Michael and Emily!!

As this precious season in Greenville winds down (only a few more weeks!) and we prepare to move to Southern California, I think back to some of our first weeks as newlyweds in Greenville. Brian and Simone were one of the first couples to greet us at our church. They have welcomed us into their home many times and have demonstrated such kindness and hospitality not only to our family, but to many others. We are so grateful for them and their example of love and care for others! So glad we could take a few family photos for them a few weeks ago. We love you guys and will miss you! ❤️

Abby thought she was there for Josh’s family’s photos and that his family was just running a little bit late. “Let’s take a few of the two of you,” John said nonchalantly, following Josh’s plan. After a few shots, John walked up to Abby to show her what a cute couple they were. I fumbled around in my backpack to quickly find the ring and pass it to Josh. In this first picture, I love the smile on Josh’s face because he knows what is about to happen. 😉 As we moved into the next pose, Josh pulled out the ring from behind his back, and as she realized what was happening, she backed up in shock!! We smiled as we clicked and watched Abby say yes and Josh slide the ring on her finger. Congratulations, Josh and Abby! We are so excited for you!!

When we met these sweet friends, they only had their oldest son and were early in their pregnancy with their second son; we had just found out we were expecting our firstborn. Four and a half years later, there are six sons between our family and theirs, and we are so glad that God has given us this season together!

Never imagined this behind-the-scenes when I first started helping John with photography! My little side-kick Judah got to come along after my sister’s wedding to be a part of helping with the photos. Amazing that he slept right through it! 😊

One of the biggest blessings in our lives is all the people who have invested in us by their example and encouragement. These two definitely fit that description! We were so honored to take some photos of one of John’s professors and his sweet wife. Dr. J’s knowledge of the Bible and good sense of humor and Mrs. J’s faithfulness to love people well will always come to mind when I think of them!
