✨Let’s talk about how we as service providers connect with our audience online and how it translates into real life!
As some of saw, because I posted about it, I booked a photo session for me and my kids for Mother’s Day! It was a mini session and I booked it because I follow this photographer on Instagram, signed up for her newsletter and loooooved the flower backdrop she had planned for this series 💐!
So I signed up and money was collected!
A few weeks later I received an email from the studio on how to prepare for the session, what colors the flowers will be and clothing suggestions! Perfect!
👉🏻 On the day of the shoot (a Sunday) we unfortunately had a really hard time finding the studio. No balloons or flowers outside that would indicate the entrance to the Motherhood event!
👉🏻 We eventually found the entrance after searching for 10 minutes!
When we entered, a young woman was asking our name and offered a makeup touch up service! I was already wearing makeup but said yes, because I was curious!
👉🏻 The makeup artist was amazing, told us how cute we look and we chitchatted away!
She was, no doubt, the highlight of this motherhood experience!
👉🏻 Then the woman from the beginning was letting us know that they are running behind a little and we would have to wait about 10 minutes to get into the studio! I could see my son rolling his eyes, because he wanted to be anywhere but in this studio! 🫣
👉🏻 We were waiting patiently as I saw the photographer (who I follow on Instagram) stepped outside the studio, checking the list of names! Then she was looking around, but not talking to anyone! Strange?!?
👉🏻 Then she disappeared!
👉🏻 When it was our turn to take photos, only one of her associates was there! Her guidance was ok but very vague. She seemed nervous!
The photographer had disappeared and after a few minutes it was over! We were handed a candle and a hair-clip and heard a “good bye”!
👉🏻 The whole time there was no personal interaction, an interest in us or a handshake from the photographer. And I actually booked because I loved her appearance on Instagram!
👉🏻 I left the event disappointed!
