🎶 Before our photos lived in the cloud, they lived beside our favorite songs. 🎵🎤📸

We had the greatest music ever. Back in the late 70’s/80’s
—and the photos to prove it!

We captured our lives with Polaroid cameras, slim rectangular pocket cameras and, if you were a little “bougie,” a manual 35mm camera with all the bells and whistles.

We couldn’t immediately check the picture, add a filter or take 20 more just to get the perfect shot.

We snapped the photo, hoped
everyone’s eyes were open—and waited for the memories to be developed.

Those photographs hold more than faces. They hold the soundtrack of our lives: school dances, family vacations, first cars, concerts, graduations, weddings and everyday moments we never imagined would become so meaningful.

At Coastal Photo Organization, I help families and individuals organize, preserve and share the photographs that tell their stories.

A client came to me in October last year.

Her parents' 50th anniversary was in December, and she had no idea what to give them.

They didn't need anything.
They had everything.

What they didn't have was a book of the 50 years they'd lived together.

We pulled photos from across the decades - early marriage, kids growing up, grandchildren arriving, trips they'd taken together.

I designed it, had it printed, and she had it in time to wrap and put under the tree.

She told me her mother cried when she opened it.

That's what a photo book can do!

It's not a gift you pick up at the last minute.

It takes time to make well - usually 4-6 weeks from
start to finish.
