Have you noticed all of the rain this month?

It has been a fascinating experience for me because the clouds have been lower with the sun peaking out 🌥️ and with the heat, it has been a very welcome event.

In so many ways this has reminded me of refreshment. Relief. 😮‍💨

Our dry, thirsty soil has needed this rain.

Our dry, thirsty souls need to be refreshed too. And not just refreshed, SATISFIED.

How is your heart today?

I know that can be a loaded question, but you’re not alone! Mine goes through a myriad of things sometimes, but then I’m reminded that it’s not always about how I feel, but what will I do with it?

Maybe listen to some good music?
Sketch what’s around me?
Breathe using the 4-7-8 method?
Most importantly for me , bring it to the feet of Jesus?

Whatever you do, know that you are loved incomprehensibly by God and He is always open to talk, and whether you feel like it or not, He is there, listening and talking back.

A sunset represents two things

One, that the day is coming to an end &
Two, another day is approaching filled with new mercies, grace, and opportunities.

I’d like to think the sunset also indicates HOPE, which is why I love it so much. But I’d have to admit the morning sunrise is probably my number ONE favorite event of the day, though it’s often missed in part to my staying up a little too late. 😂

Maybe you’ve been lacking hope lately, especially with the way the world is. There’s certainly a lot to be burdened by coupled with immediate concerns and pain.

Maybe the sunset can be your reminder that God has given you an eternal hope, the only hope we truly have which is in Jesus. Imagine, a hope that surpasses your immediate circumstances and worries.

Even death itself.

We are more than halfway through the year 2024!! Does that sound encouraging, or discouraging?

There’s mixed feelings about it I’m sure. But I want to ENCOURAGE you that you were built to handle TODAY, not yesterday or tomorrow - ***today***. So what can you do today, whether it is seemingly small or a big task, that you can knock out that will help the future you tomorrow?

Brick by brick, my friend. Nail by nail. Wood beam by wood beam. That’s how a house is built. So take your one nail, or wooden beam, or singular brick, and stack it today. Tomorrow, take the next one. ☝🏽

Before you know it, your “house” will be built. Take courage, and be tenacious. Focus on today 🫶🏽

🌻 JULY BOOKING IS OPEN 🌻
You guys have been amazing in allowing me to take a deep breath, refresh, and pause after a very busy photo season. Love LOVE LOVEE you all so so much for sticking around and supporting this little business of mine, to the glory of God - all of this is truly His and for Him.

With all of that being said, you can expect some posts and updates ahead. I would love to refresh the brand and update my website. I’ve also been dabbling in drawing ✍🏽 again, and if you know me - you know how big that was in my life about 3.5 years ago. It’s been like visiting an old friend each time I pick up a pen and begin to sketch the world around me. Slowly but surely, I’ve found the urge to create in that way again and have found inspiration & WONDER.

Little did I know or understand the impact of PLAY in day-to-day life and how it helps to cultivate a more positive & expectant attitude toward life. This is also what I love about photography because it is SO important to be free, bold, and explorative instead of caged up and afraid. Safety to be oneself is so important throughout the session! This is where telling the story of a family, individual, or couple is so vital.

🎊 H A P P Y N E W Y E A R 🎊
I choose to welcome 2024 with open arms, and I thank the Lord for all He has taught me this year. I thank Him for all of you who have allowed me into your lives, for trusting me to capture your families, and for allowing me to be apart of your Christmas and overall winter season.
After February I have decided to take a small break to refresh, refill, and focus on some things that and I have been feeling led to do in 2024 and beyond. If you would like to learn more, feel free to comment below to be added to our email list to receive our news letters!
Thank you all so much again, and thank You Lord God for this year through the serious ups and even the downs. I am so grateful that the Creator of all things loved us so much that He came through Jesus and gave us eternal life through His death and resurrection. That is what this platform and account is all about. To give Him glory and honor. I’m so grateful for His constant presence and companionship in my life, no need to wait to live as He has given me true life here and beyond.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I can hardly believe it! I hope you enjoy this sneak of the Newton family ❤️ This session was a blast and the day was beautiful. They radiated the love of God, and their story inspires me. Love you guys! and thank you for trusting me to take your pictures.
