"You look perfect."

Those were the only words Noah had, the only words needed, when he saw his beautiful bride Molly for the first time on their wedding day.

Molly wanted to implement the first look moment a little differently. Traditionally, we let the bride walk up behind the groom, have him turn around to see her face to face.

However, we actually swapped roles for this one. Molly was planted like an angel, the train of her dress flared out just so.

Noah turned the corner of the building and got to take in allllll Molly's beautiful beaming bridal glory from afar. He tapped her shoulder, she turned to him with a big smile.

Their private vows brought some unexpected tears, too. 🤍

And then… there was the reception. No, the insane Georgia heat was not playing tricks on us! Hairy Dawg knows how to make an entrance. ❤️🖤😂

"Love Is Like A Butterfly" -- One of my favorite songs. It's been one on my heart this week with the passing of another one of Heaven's sweet souls. And for it to be echoing again in my ear today with the thought of her taking flight, fluttering away from us, provokes an ache in my heart. I don't even think cinnamon bread could fix this one, y'all.

The whispered Christmas wishes. The shy smiles. The wide-eyed wonder. The excitement that fills the room when they finally meet Santa Claus. These aren't 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 holiday photos—they're 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆'𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆.

In the early days of my career as a wedding photographer I actually spent countless weekends assisting as a second shooter alongside some incredible photographers in the luxury wedding industry. It was such a formative time for me—learning the ins and outs of weddings big and small, without the full weight of being the lead photographer.

Second shooting gave me the chance to grow my skills and confidence while building my portfolio. I got to experience the beauty and complexity of weddings that celebrated love in such grand and thoughtful ways. It was a front-row seat to moments filled with joy, elegance, and heartfelt connection, and I learned so much from being part of them.

Some of my favorite memories were finding those creative shots while the lead handled the essentials. It was freeing and inspiring, and it taught me how to capture the details and emotions that make every wedding unique.

Even though I haven’t second shot in a long time, I still look back on those days with so much gratitude. They gave me a foundation that shaped the photographer I’ve become and the way I approach every wedding I capture today.
