I would like to share with y’all some badass Black photographers that I have admired for a while now and I invite you to go support them and follow them.

1. is local photographer and all around kind human bean! She is a lover of farming and the outdoors. Follow her, not only for her striking portraiture/modeling, but also for homestead tips and neat-ture knowledge.

2. Check out They are a Charlotte based photographer whose work has taught me so much about everything ranging from advocating for fair work compensation in the arts, to transcending the binary, to mental health, and beyond.

3. is an NYC based photographer. Her work is the very definition of fashion and modernity. She is also a writer and has recently created a collective for Black expression in poetry and others, see here: forlife.cargo.site/

4. Leslie is an incredible editorial photographer whose portraiture is out of this world. Her creativity and defined-eye behind the camera stands for itself. Check her out!

💐The most difficult part about photographing your friends’ wedding is trying not to cry as you’re shooting. Margie made such a beautiful bride and was a total firecracker at her reception. She and Marcus threw a a fairytale wedding and I couldn’t be happier for them and their future💐
