I started my career as a photographer when I was about 12. I would make all my friends put on makeup, hats and leg warmers (it was the 80’s!) so I could photograph them modeling. I discovered how much I really loved photography in high school and photographed for the newspaper and continued to chase my friends and family around for photos. After I decided to go live in Hawaii and manage a surf sho
p I came back to California and went to school to make my love for photography official and got my BFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute. Micki Salazar Photography creates custom portraits for Central Coast high school seniors and families. My goal is to create an environment where you will feel comfortable to have fun and be yourself in front of the camera. Once you’re laughing and having a good time, its easy to get great pictures. When I’m not out taking photos, you’ll find me still chasing my friends and family around for pictures and playing at the beach with my doggie Marley. She says to tell you that’s the most important thing about me.
