I'm pretty sentimental and care a great deal about the moments that others often overlook. Maybe it's my background of playing and coaching football. Games are looked at as the most important thing, and perhaps rightfully so. I would argue that the practices are at least equally important. The sheer amount of time spent practicing will easily outweigh the number of games any team will ever play.
Life is similar to sports in that way. We look at these milestones as the defining moments in our lives. That leaves out the "everyday" moments that got us to those milestones.
Go through your scrapbooks or framed photos. Are there small, real moments right alongside the big achievements? Or do you need to better represent your whole life? I would be happy to help with this.
