My name is Josh Grubb, I moved to Missouri in February of 2025 from the state of Minnesota. I am a commercial driver at a Sanitation company that is Nationwide. Outside of work, I like to listen to the scanners and take photos of Emergency Incidents, Apparatus, and Stations. I will also photograph department events or trainings on request. I was a Fire and A Police explorer in my teenage years in

It is with heavy hearts that we share that Captain Emmons has recently been diagnosed with cancer, commonly found in our line of work. Throughout his career, Capt. Emmons has dedicated his life to serving and protecting our community, as well as always being there when others needed help.

Now, it’s our turn to answer the call for him. 🚨🙏🏼

Just after 1:00 Pm on Monday June 8th 2026, Leadington Fire Department crews were dispatched to a vehicle fire in the area of Hwy 67 and Fairgrounds exit. Park Hills Fire Department 3700 Chief 3701 in the area arrived to a Dodge Ram Pickup truck pulling a 5th wheel camper with the engine compartment fully engulfed, 3701 requested a wrecker to get the camper away from the truck, 3701 also requested Park Hills respond to assist as it was on the city line.

Leadington 3960 with a crew of 2 responded to the scene on the top of the ramp of NB 67 to fairgrounds.

3961 responded with a crew of 1 to assist units on scene with fire attack and additional water.

The fire was quickly brought under control before any damage to the camper in tow.

Assisting on scene were deputies from the st francois county Sheriffs office

Nice little day trip out to FDIC. Got out about 30 minutes before some severe weather hit the area.

On Tuesday March 31st 2026 around 1400 hrs Washington County 911 center dispatched a First alarm assignment out to 10064 Blackberry Rd in Cadet. (Potosi Fire Protection District) Crews arrived to a brush fire with multiple vehicles on fire as well as misc debris in a yard. Crews from De Soto Fire Department DeSoto Rural Fire Protection District, Hillsboro Fire Protection District, Big River Fire Protection District, Desloge Fire Department assisted on the scene with manpower and water and were able to keep the fire from any structure involvement.
