After taking a big step back from my photography, I think I regained some confidence. It's been awhile since my last session and not intentionally..
Not because I gave up.
Not because it was intimidating.
Not because it's hard.
But because i pour so much energy and time into creating something that I can share and love with others.
And as a beginner it can be a very discouraging journey at first. After experiencing a bunch of last minute cancellations, & no call no shows.
I would fill up my entire schedule as much as possible, for free. And I missed a lot of opportunities, or sessions that I could've made for someone else.
And unfortunately, I can do these photo sessions for free, for the love I have for photography, & still, that is not enough to make other people show up.
People don't take "free" very seriously and thats okay! But at the end of the day it still costs me my time, in one way or another.
Since taking this break recently, I can say that I've atleast been able to continue practicing & learningš¤ & my confidence has grown even more than i expected. And for that, I am grateful. I am especially grateful for each & every individual I cross paths with, who give me the opportunity to capture their special moments!! You guys are who I do this for.
But I have learned to stop searching for my clients & to let my clients find me.
