Check out this contest winning nugget for EIF Images! God gently kissed the clouds to give me a chance. Shot at 17mm it's hard to see how grand the wounded Geronimo sculpture really is as it stands over 8ft high when next to it. Over 100 homes shot this year and still counting!!!!!

Did a scout shoot at a Bing Hu designed home and got some killer shots. Here's a sneak preview, full production shoot coming in early January. Just realized I've never posted any interior shots, duh!

Socially I've been quiet the last year, but visually I've been grinding. I do think of everyone of you at one time or another.

Tough assignment last month, needed a twilight sequence of a back yard that did not offer too many options as far as setup. Don't get me wrong this home's backyard is awesome but I was having issues composing the right "feel" for this space.

As the magic hour (12 minutes actually) was upon me, I grabbed my tripod and ladder and jumped the wall. Into the desert I trekked. When I turned around not only was I able to show the house's relation to the surrounding mountains but the rising moon helped anchor this composition.

Not my best lighting job but another killer twilight for my client. What's next you ask? Aerial Photography coming soon...

EIF rocks another pimp property...

After 10+ years in AZ I have become acclimated with how weather changes affects the soul... and the sky.

Recently while shooting in the high desert and setting up for our signature twilight shots, I felt like the cooling climate would create a soft and gentle sunset. So I set up shop 30 minutes earlier and got this lovely sky.

Some of the behind the scene activity.

* 2,000 watts sitting on a 2 foot wide wall on edge of pool.
* Me running in and out of house because blinds kept coming down between shots.
* The other half of house is dark because of blown fuse, shhhh...
* My MacGyver fix on a light stand with a bungee cord and a t shirt, now the visual sets in...glad house was vacant.

As I drove away all I could do was smile, I love this stuff...

While I have catered several events at this premier Scottsdale home, I always thought "man this place would be bitchin' to shoot". Now behind the glass I got the chance to document residence in preparation for listing.

Here's a sneak preview of some stellar backyard views. I know I've mentioned AZ's ability to create the most wonderful clouds. Look for tour in the upcoming weeks. Thank you CB4 for your endless advice and Stealth Ink for the killer tunes.

I found myself watching the sun go down and as the sky turned a tone of cobalt blue all I could think was, "need more lights". A surprisingly still June evening and while the bats kept diving in for a drink, the water remained calm.

AZ and it's electric evenings, gotta love it!
