Here is the after! The original photo was carefully scanned, and damage restored. I also extended the edges of the image, making it easier to print and frame in a variety of sizes without losing any of the original photograph.

The final special touch was colorizing the image, bringing new life to the wedding portrait. My client was thrilled with the results, and I was honored to help preserve such a meaningful family memory.

This photo was brought to me as part of a special surprise for a client’s mom. It’s a wedding portrait of her grandparents, and she wanted to have it restored as a gift.

This was the first time I’d ever worked on a photograph printed on adhesive-backed paper and mounted to a metal backing. Unfortunately, time had not been kind to the print, leaving it in rough condition.

Here is the final result! After I removed all the damage, I painted the colors. I then tried numerous tools to bring back some sharpness and details that were lost due to low resolution. I never know if those tools will have a good result or make people look worse. This time I was very pleased with the details it was able to bring back.

With my grandpa’s birthday coming up, I restored this photo of his sister, Marilyn, who passed away years ago. She began her career as a social worker before becoming a police officer. Though she never had children of her own, she adored her dogs and deeply loved her nieces and nephews. I’m grateful I could bring this photo back to life for my grandpa. Washburn Photo Restoration
