I know I haven't been posting much as of late, and when I have, it's been sporadic. Truthfully, the last few years have been really rough for me personally, and I simply haven't had the energy to create and share the way I used to. But I'm slowly starting to feel like myself again.
You know that awkward feeling when you haven't talked to someone in a while and you're trying to start the conversation back up? Yeah. It feels exactly like that right now. So, hey, hello. How have you been? How are your furbabies doing?
I've missed this little corner of the internet, and honestly, I've missed celebrating your pets with you. I'm not sure I should even admit this, but at my lowest point, I thought about quitting. I wasn't sure if I was still passionate about pet photography anymore. Constant personal loss and being unexpectedly placed into a caregiver role takes so much out of you. There's just not much left over for anything else. But I think maybe it was the burnout speaking, because I'm choosing to believe I still love what I do.
So I'm slowly easing back in, one post at a time. Here's a recent photo of Percy, who loves his outdoor cat walks. I'm glad we were able to capture him with the cherry blossoms before they faded away. The flowers fade quickly, but thankfully, there are upcoming peony 🌸 and lavender sessions to look forward to!
Did you capture any great photos of your pets with flowers recently? I'd love to see! Share a photo of your pet in the comments below :)
