Tim Curry’s Pennywise scared the absolute S**T out of me as a kid. 😂🎈

And to this day, nothing comes close. I’ve tried watching the newer versions of IT, but they just don’t do it for me. Maybe it’s nostalgia talking, but that original 1990 adaptation will always be the definitive version in my eyes.

From Pennywise to all the other unforgettable characters he brought to life, Tim Curry was truly one of a kind.

Still hard to believe he’s gone. Rest easy, legend. ❤️

When “Rowdy” Roddy Piper spoke, you listened. And this time, he wasn’t talking about Hulk Hogan or kicking somebody’s ass. 😂 Just a guy who genuinely seemed to care about making sure kids had a fun, SAFE Halloween.

No gimmicks. No wrestling storyline. Just Hot Rod being Hot Rod. And you can tell he meant every damn word. ❤️

Man, I miss this guy.

Who else remembers this Halloween message from the one and only Roddy Piper? 🎃

What 80s or 90s-inspired costume are you rocking for Halloween this year? 🎃👻

“If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour... you’re gonna see some serious sh*t”

Lots of talk about socialism and communism these days. But if you’re Gen X, there’s a good chance you were getting a crash course before you knew what the hell any of it meant. 😂

It was 1986, the Cold War was still going strong, and apparently even our Nickelodeon shows weren’t safe from Soviet paranoia.

Looking back, it’s pretty hilarious how much of this stuff went right over our heads as kids.

And seriously, how great was Les Lye?! 😂

Egon’s face at the end ALWAYS gets me. 😂 He’s so ridiculously proud of himself.

It’s the little moments like this that make Ghostbusters II so damn good.

Who else loves this scene? 👻

Sunday Sentiment ❤️

They call it one of the worst video games ever made.

I call it a masterpiece.

Okay, maybe that's a stretch. 😂 But here's the thing about nostalgia. Sometimes the things we love most aren't necessarily the things everyone else remembers fondly.

As a kid, I absolutely LOVED E.T. on the Atari 2600. Collecting the pieces of the phone, avoiding government agents, finding Elliott, and trying desperately to get E.T. home. I can still hear those sounds in my head.

I beat the game. Multiple times.
Funny enough, I've been playing it again as an adult, and I can't anymore 😂

When I look at E.T., I don't see a failed video game or one of gaming's biggest disasters.

I see a little piece of my childhood.

And to me, that's worth putting in a museum. ❤️

What's a game everybody seemed to hate, but you absolutely loved?

As if Chucky wasn’t creepy enough already ... 🔪😳

Turns out, the name behind everyone’s favorite murderous doll has a pretty disturbing connection to three real-life killers.

Did you ever catch this little detail in Child’s Play?
