This is the Fall 1985 issue of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Magazine, featuring absolutely spectacular cover art by the legendary Earl Norem.

Norem had an incredible ability to make Eternia feel bigger, darker, and more dangerous than anything we saw on Saturday morning.

The Beast Monster He-Man is about to slay comes from the Fright Zone playset, released that September.

Whether it was the cartoon or magazines ... MOTU always had one goal in mind: SELL. THOSE. TOYS. 😅

IT’S DONE ✅ … Had the draft at Luke’s place. It’s not NostalgAK content, but it’s content from our Fantasy Football League. Our 2026 draft is in the books and FINAL! Always a good time with the crew each year. First time we have ever actually recorded something after 20 years of doing it!! Enjoy the reel!

This is TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman's first drawing of the pizza-loving crime-fighting turtles 🍕

💡🍻 As the story goes ... Eastman and Peter Laird, over pizza and beer, jokingly proposed the idea of Ninja Turtles; a parody of four of the most popular comics of the early 80s: Daredevil, The New Mutants, Cerebus, and Frank Miller’s Ronin. The rest is history.

Do you remember the feeling of launching yourself onto a Slip ‘N Slide? 💦

This iconic summer “toy” had already been around for more than 20 years by the time most of us were using one. Introduced by Wham-O in 1961, it became one of those backyard staples that made summer feel like summer.

All you needed was a garden hose, a running start, and just enough courage to ignore the possibility of hitting a rock, a sprinkler head, or the edge of the lawn. 😂
