This has got to be my favorite picture that I captured today at , look at all the different, cultures, races, etc represented in this picture. We all had one thing in common this evening, and that was to have fun and laugh. It's probably one of the few "Happiest Places on Earth" left at this moment in time. I was talking to a family that was speaking Arabic and told them that I really wanted to take the Arabic language in college this coming up semester but since I don't know anyone who I can speak it with, I chose ASL instead. We ended up exchanging numbers and the matriarch of the family gave me an open invite to their home for some home cooked food. Every time I go I start talking with others in line and have had wonderful conversations.

The Getty Villa is modeled after the Villa dei Papiri,a Roman country house in Herculaneum buried by the eruption of Mt Vesuvius in 79 CE. Most of the Villa dei Papiri remains unexcavated, so many of the Getty Villa's architectural details are based on elements drawn from other ancient Roman homes in the towns of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Stabiae.
Most of the works in the Getty Villa are dedicated to the arts and cultures of ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria.
