I want to start sharing more family sessions! I’m trying to sprinkle them in the feed so y’all can see what I see. There is something different about the love of a family that just photographs different. The focus shifts. Love grows and expands. It’s a beautiful thing.

It’s wild how life comes at you full circle. 🥹
Twelve years ago, I was babysitting this sweet little girl — helping with homework, watching her make duct tape wallets, and making sure she stayed out of trouble. Fast forward to now… I had the absolute honor of photographing her wedding in Cancun. 💍🌴

Standing behind the camera, I couldn’t help but feel a certain type of way. I still remember her as that quiet, curious kid with the biggest smile — and now here she was, walking down the aisle as the most radiant bride, surrounded by the ocean breeze, her family, and the love of her life.

There were so many moments that hit me — her tears as she shared her vows, the look on his face as she walked down the aisle — but what especially hit me was when I realized I wasn’t just photographing a wedding… I was witnessing someone I’ve known since her childhood step into an entirely new chapter.

It was one of those days that reminded me why I do what I do. Every laugh, every tear, every quiet glance between them — it felt like time folding in on itself in the most beautiful way. (But it also made me feel old 😂)

To be trusted with capturing memories for someone who once trusted me to pour their cereal and make sure they brushed their teeth before bed — that’s something I’ll never forget. ❤️

Family session season is in full swing! ♥️ they will always have a special place in my heart!

What I love most about this season is being able meet new families and experience love from different stages in life! Definitely a different POV than weddings. Particularly love photographing previous wedding clients and seeing their growing families!
