A speck of white on glassy green 🌿 | An egret stands in the marsh

Experimenting with different adjustments to get the right egret shot. Egrets are tricky; the brightness of their feathers makes it easy for them to seem overexposed or blown out. Using manual ISO and lowering the exposure composition allowed for this moody shot without the egret looking like a second sun. Have you photographed egrets? What helps you to get the right lighting?
