Just wanted to post an update on Rise since I can't sleep. I took her to the vet for he recheck and all went well. After further discussion and review we agree the safest thing for her is to continue with medication. However not the one she was on. We chose to change it to the same one Oliver takes since he has had great success with it. Hopefully this will help control these terrible seizures. Rise is such a good girl with a side of sass and deserves every bit of a normal seizure free life. We will do everything within our power to help with that. We love her so much. She has become a much better mama this time around since we kept Willow and my daughter has her other pup Shroomy and of course Ollie. So she has had the opportunity to have that motherly instinct kick in. I know having Summer still here at 13 years young and mothering everyone helps 🥰🐶🐾. As tiny as she is, she did weigh in at 17 pounds which really surprised me! Oh and did I say she also went into heat at the vets office! Ugh! So she is in her pretty little skirts for a few weeks!

So we had to take Rise to State College CP vets er 2 nights ago. She had another series of seizures. These different than the last one she had. Not as severe or violent but seizures nonetheless. They are exhausting on her physically and and last a long time and make her physically sick. 😥🐶🐾 Anyway we spent the night there did blood work on her and came home with meds for her. The bloodwork indicated she could have Epilepsy all signs point that way. The vet suggested she could of injested a bug or been bitten by a spider also and it could of been a reaction from that. I am not convinced of that. I went over her looking for any marks or bites. We will redo her bloowork if our vet thinks its necessary. In the meantime we will watch her and wait to get her in with our vet. Rise is doing well now. The vet did say just because Ollie was diagnosed almost at birth and we are uncertain still with her this is not necessarily hereditary because none of her siblings have it. So just to soothe all of those who have Summers pups or Rises. Health issues do happen that is a part of having our furbabies. I have always wanted to be transparent with any that pop up with mine so that anyone who have any pups know. Just as a precaution.

Happy 1st birthday a day late to Willow and Mushroom we love you both so much you snuggie ornery, water puppies! I am so thrilled that you get to play with each other every couple days because Mushroom stayed in the family and went to my granddaughter as her emotional support dog 💙. He is so well behaved. He just spent a week with us while they were on vacation. Such a good calm boy.

Update on Rise... she is doing well. We brought her home at 4am. The vet said she passed all neuro tests they did. I was very concerned about her eye sight. It wasn't back fully at first but is now. Her fever is gone. It actually was within normal range just on the higher end probably due to the seizure. Seizures are tricky and generally not harmful to animals but also scary to witness. Rises lasted about 5 -7 mins which is very long. I thought she was having a stroke or heart attack as the way she was presenting during it. Thank God she came out of it. Thank God. If it would of been short like Ollie's it would of been different and I would of known for sure. I am experienced with him. This was different. This scared me. Anyway, we wait and pray there isn't anymore. She is not on meds for now. Like Ollie he was not put on meds until he had multiple. If she has another one she will be put on meds. His meds have controlled his well. For now we watch her. 🥰🐶
