Calling all Moms (and Dad's who want extra brownie points this Mother's Day)!!!

Mother's Day is right around the corner and you know what the Mom in your life really wants - Pictures with her kids!

It doesn't have to be complicated. This sweet friend of mine invited us over to bake cookies and live a normal day and we were able to capture the most precious moments from just simple time at home. Reach out soon to schedule a time and get your photos back by Mother's Day!

Some snippets of a fun and busy family session💙 I may be biased but these are some of the cutest kids ever (okay I’m allowed to say that as auntie to these three boys!!!) It’s such a joy to live close to family and see them raise little ones. I’m also taking notes from Lauren as a professional boy mom - always keep a hot wheel in hand for emergencies!🏎️🏎️👍🏼

Motherhood.

Being a mom has changed and challenged me in ways I never imagined. One of the ways I've changed as a parent is how I view time, memories, and photos. Time moves quickly and slowly all at once, memories are made (good and messy and otherwise), and having photos of those moments is precious and priceless.

It's because of these reasons that I started "Pay What You Can" for all of my photo sessions. After some prayerful consideration and talking with Matt, I'm happy to offer the same pricing this year (with the exception of some events and travel situations).

I feel so fortunate to be in a position to offer this, as I know how precious a single photo can be. If you have questions or are interested in booking a date, please reach out and I'll be happy to help! I'm excited to be a part of more cherished memories this year!

Hi 👋🏼 I’m Shayla, and (as much as it feels like imposter syndrome to say this) I’m a photographer!

Here’s some more about me outside of that:

• I’m a follower of Jesus and admirer of His creation.

• I’ve been married 5 wonderful years to my husband who is an Elementary Special Education teacher and High School Girls Wrestling Coach.

• I’m a Stay-at-home mom to two wild little ones.

• As a Jill-of-all-Trades - I always have a project going. Whether it be house renovations, painting, sewing or baking, there’s never a dull moment (or lack of mess) in my home.

• A piece of chocolate hates to see me coming.

• I love to stay in my pajamas all day! (And have also passed this on to my kids).

From a young age I loved taking photos. I would recruit my friends to do photoshoots in my back yard and spend sleepovers editing the results. The Lord has slowly revealed to me over the years what a gift it is to share my photography with others. Pictures capture moments of joy and sorrow, the extraordinary and the mundane, the hurried and the steadfast - and there is beauty in it all.

Thanks for being here, it’s my prayer you find joy, beauty and hope in these captured moments.🤍
