Heather C. Morrow Photography

Heather C. Morrow Photography My love for photography began in the 1970s with a small Kodak Instamatic while living in Japan at Yokosuka Naval Base.

🎓 Lifelong creative soul
www.heathercmorrowphotography.com I’ve always been a creative spirit—painting, working with ceramics, and now returning to photography with renewed passion. During the pandemic, I discovered infrared photography through Piper McKay’s work, which inspired me to explore

its magic. Since then, I’ve continued learning, blending my artistic background with modern techniques to create photographs that feel painterly, emotional, and deeply personal. To learn more about me and my work, please visit my website at

The painted wolves of Africa don’t wait for you. You wait for them (sometimes for weeks). These aren’t snapshots they are a window into world most people never see.

A close-up rose in soft apricot and creamy ivory folds into a compact spiral, each petal curling toward the center with quiet precision. I focused on how light settles into the folds so the shadows stay gentle and the layered curves read almost like simple geometry. It feels calm and quietly warm, inviting a moment of pause without asking for anything. I wanted to share Flamingo Detail. A solitary flamingo stands against a near-black field, its S-shaped neck tracing a deliberate arc. Soft salmon plumage shifts from pale blush to warmer coral along the wing, and a pale, steady eye holds a quiet, unhurried focus. Fine feather detail catches sideways light and creates a delicate sheen that separates form from shadow. The spare background lets line and silhouette define the presence, while a small spiral of feathers at the flank adds a sculptural texture worth a closer look.
