Birth is raw. It’s real. It’s powerful — and moms deserve to be seen in it. Not just the chaotic moments someone happens to capture, but the strength, the beauty, the miracle of it all.
This post is such a perfect reminder of why birth photography matters.
Birth isn’t about perfect photos… it’s about preserving the first chapter of your child’s story — and yours. ❤️📸
And if you want your own story captured with that same care, I do offer labor & delivery sessions. Message or text me anytime.
Why my next pregnancy I’m hiring a photographer…
Because THIS… me, throwing up into a hospital puke bag with a catheter in is the ONLY picture my husband took during my 2nd labor & delivery. The only one. Besides a couple videos of me completely out of it.
Out of the entire miracle-of-life, woman-warrior, “I am literally bringing a human into the world” experience… this is what he chose to capture. 🤦🏼♀️📸
And listen, I love this man. Truly. But if I do this again, I’m bringing a hype woman. A designated photo-taker. Someone who knows the difference between “capture the miracle” and “capture her absolutely unhinged in a hospital gown.” Because moms deserve proof that we did more than vomit and sweat through the most intense day of our lives.
But hey… at least it’s authentic. Raw. Real. And a beautiful reminder of how motherhood starts: with humor, humility, and a man who thinks he did something because he held my water cup 💀
