THE FACES BEHIND HWHALEY PHOTOGRAPHY 🤎
It’s been a while since I’ve introduced ourselves around here, so hi! We’re Holly + Steve. 🤎
Most of you know me as the one behind the camera, but there’s a whole lot that happens behind the scenes before you ever show up for your session.
I’m Holly—the photographer, the creative brain, and usually the one saying, “Okay, hear me out… I have an idea.” 😂 I dream up the sets, style the spaces, plan the experiences, photograph your families, edit your galleries, and probably obsess over way too many tiny details that no one else would ever notice.
And then there’s Steve! If I’m the one dreaming it up, he’s usually the one figuring out how the heck we’re going to make it happen. 😂
He builds. He fixes. He moves furniture. He hauls things. He helps with the animals. He listens to me change my mind 47 times. And somehow, when I come to him with another wild idea, he usually just looks at me and says, “Okay… what are we doing now?”😂
So much of what you see at HWhaley has both of us behind it. The studios, the sets, the property, The Arch… there are pieces of us everywhere.
And I think that’s part of why this business means so much to me.
It started with photography, but somewhere along the way it became so much more. We’ve created this little world where families come back year after year, kids get excited to see the animals, I get to watch babies grow up through my camera, and ideas that once existed only in my head have become actual places where people make memories.
That part will never get old.
I don’t ever want you to feel like you’re just showing up, taking a few pictures and leaving. I want coming here to feel special. I want your kids to remember it. I want you to laugh, love on your people and leave excited to see what we created together.
So whether you’ve trusted me with your family for years or you’re brand new here, welcome!
We’re Holly + Steve—the faces, the hands, the dreamers, and occasionally the two people standing in the middle of a half-finished project wondering what we got ourselves into. 😂
