🌩 Low-End Severe Weather Risk Today for Illinois & Indiana 🌩️

A few rounds of showers and thunderstorms are possible today across parts of Illinois and Indiana, especially this afternoon into the evening. This is not a major severe weather setup, but a few storms could briefly become strong to locally severe.

The main concern will be damaging wind gusts, especially with stronger storm cells.
Main threats today:
🌬️ Isolated damaging wind gusts
🧊 Small to isolated large hail
🌧️ Heavy rain / localized flooding
⚡ Frequent lightning
🌪️ Tornado risk appears very low, but never zero with stronger storms

Beautiful rainbow spotted over La Crosse, Indiana🌩️🌈

After the rain moved through, nature put on a show outside La Crosse with a beautiful rainbow stretching across the sky. Moments like this are a reminder that even after gloomy weather, something amazing can follow. The colors lighting up the clouds made for a picture-perfect Indiana evening.

Pretty awesome sight over Monon, IN tonight — what you likely saw was SpaceX’s Starlink satellite train, a line of bright moving lights crossing the night sky. These satellites orbit low enough that they can reflect sunlight shortly after sunset or before sunrise, making them look like a glowing string of stars in motion. With thousands of Starlink satellites now in orbit, sightings have become more common across the Midwest, including right here in Indiana.
