As I prepare for my upcoming exhibition, Tony Nsofor: Eje Ayọ, one place is central- the Torpedo Factory Art Center, Virginia. In that magical place, I spent 3 and half years as an art resident with a studio that was open to the public everyday for all that time! The journey unlocked parts of me that I didn’t know, I met people that are now forever friends, and I spoke about my work with all the intensity and clarity that all may understand. Thanks again to the artists, the management and staff of the Art Center. I fondly remember Maryann Van Landingham too… her passion and commitment made the Center possible. I am still traveling.
