In an effort to learn my camera and editing software, I started doing nature photography. Now I'm addicted! I've learned that sometimes you need to be frozen, burned, eaten alive by mosquitos, and more for the right shot. But in the end it's so worth it!

I know I'm long overdue for this, but I finally tried my hand at photographing birds in manual mode. I shot this with an older, used Nikkor zoom lens I purchased a while ago. Need a LOT of work focusing, but setting up the rest of the settings wasn't too hard. It was all in my head! I'm grateful this little Carolina Wren posed so nicely for me.
