Memorial Day

We gather in the hush of morning, when the flag lifts, then bows, then rises again a reminder that a nation breathes because others fell.

From scattered towns that claimed the first observance to Arlington’s long rows of white stone, we carry forward a simple ritual of silence, respect, and the weight of memory.

No speeches needed. Just the understanding that freedom was paid for by men and women whose stories ended so ours could continue.

And so we honor them in the stillness, in the bloom of late May, in the promise to live lives worthy of their last full measure.
