Take the pictures. Gathering the coordinating outfits, fixing the hair, getting that “we look like a semi-functional bunch” photo—none of that is required. Perfect doesn’t exist and the photos don’t need to be “perfect” to represent a beautiful time in your life that you’ll wish you could travel back to. Documenting this time in your life helps make that possible.
The behind the scenes of photos like this of my children are usually chaotic. And that’s ok. Find a photographer who will meet your children where they are and trust them to capture the beauty in the chaos.

Are you ready for Christmas yet? This is my all time favorite time of the year, but it feels like everything moves so fast. What are some things you make sure to slow down and savor every year?
Mine would probably be celebrating Chandler’s birthday (poor December baby lol) and taking the kids to look at Christmas lights. We try to look at some before Christmas, but I always make sure to take them out on Christmas night to look at lights. It feels like such a magical way to wrap up a wonderful day.

Happy Small Business Saturday! I have a hard time putting into words what this little business means to me—it honestly makes me a little emotional. The love, support, and kindness that has been shown to me by people who previously wouldn’t have known me from Adam, have become the reason I even have a business and give me the drive to keep going. You have helped me provide my children with gifts under the tree for Christmas, helped me pay for my daughter to dance, put food on my table, and filled my cup until overflowed. Supporting small businesses helps real people and real families right here in our community. And in turn I have the absolute privilege of stopping time for a moment for you and your loved ones. That’s a privilege that I don’t take lightly. So much love and care goes into each session because I know these moments are fleeting and, out of everyone, you entrusted me to capture them for you.
