Our interest in photography was sparked in 2008 shortly after the birth of our first little girl, Ava. It did not take us long to realize how precious and fleeting life’s moments are, so in an effort to capture each of those precious moments we bought our first DLSR camera. Soon after, we welcomed our second little girl, Emma into the family. Capturing the moments of our girls’ childhoods became our mission and we were soon captivated by the art of photographing life.
The more we learned about photography the more we wanted to know. We eventually began to familiarize ourselves with professional equipment. We were lucky enough to learn first-hand under the teaching of some merited photographers and friends. We still learn from these talented artists and consider their teaching an invaluable part of our growth as photographers.
Our motto is Life doesn’t need retouching, and we firmly hold to this philosophy. We commit to very minimal editing in our work and you will rarely see us using props or staging sets. We find joy in capturing life, just the way it is. Life can be messy and disruptive and chaotic at times, but we believe that’s what makes it beautiful.
