STOP THE CROP!
It's common for photographers to tightly crop their images before delivery, but in Commercial Architectural Photography, that's not always the best approach. A commercial image will often need to be loosely cropped to maximize it's potential use. It may be licensed to various manufacturers that want to emphasize different aspects of the image, it may be used for tightly cropped detail views, wider billboard, or ultra wide website or trade show banners. Shooting wide enough to give the Marketing and Art Directors multiple options for final framing gives them a lot more value for their licensing dollar. If you shoot commercially, stop before you chop. Shooting wider and leaving the margins can add a lot of value to the potential usage for a single image.
