Hello everyone,

Violette & I are taking the plane tomorrow, heading back to Europe (ITB Berlin, here we come !) for the first time in quite a while... And yet, there's still plenty of goodies we haven't published yet from the shooting of the last episode of the season.

So let's dive back in Thailand for a short video, for a quick tease of what's coming for the second half of season 1. This is Shark Bay in Koh Tao, but as you can see sharks are not the only species around there...

KOH TAO, Thailand : We know, we know, we haven't been very social these past few weeks... 🙈🙉🙊 But better late then never, right ?! 😅 Here are some images of our time on Koh Tao island. 🌴 There are not so many simply because we spent most of our time there diving ! Yes, we are now officially certified divers and proud to be ! 👌 We met a bunch of amazing people and had the best time. And appart from exploring the underwater world 🐠, we also did some earthly wanderings to bring you some visual souvenirs. Hope you like it ! 😘

BALLOONING OVER BAGAN AT SUNRISE !!
As you may have seen it, January 20th was Antoine's 30th birthday and what better way to celebrate than flying over Bagan at Sunrise in a hot air balloon ?!! 🎉 It was clearly THE most incredible experience we ever had.😍 It was a surprise so Antoine found out at the last minute and was in shock ! But it didn't last long, he quickly grabbed his camera, me too and we started capturing every single moment of it to share it with you. 🎥📸 People in our group might have thought we were crazy and that we could not possibly enjoy ourselves with all theses cameras, but honestly, we wouldn't have it any other way. Being able to photograph and film is the way we enjoy life (Plus it made me forget I was 600 meters high in a wicker basket hanging from a balloon with 7 other people ! 🤣). Our morning got even better when we were welcome at the landing location with some champagne and birthday cake for the birthday boy 🍾. A really nice attention by Oriental Ballooning. A big thank you to the wonderful staff and the World's Second Best Pilot, Richard (after Donna of course) ! A day to be remembered.

Best 30th birthday surprise ever by the most awesome girlfriend on Earth (but I still got to work ;) !

INLE LAKE, Myanmar : We spent a few days in the town of Nyaung Shwe to visit Inle Lake, the second largest lake in Myanmar. Aside from being a wonderful natural sight, it is home to many bird species and several floating villages, where people fish and grow vegetables on floating gardens. Inle's fishermen are famous for their unique rowing and fishing techniques, involving rowing while standing using their feet. We went around the lake on bicycles and on boat, visiting the villages, meeting people, watching them going at their daily lives, saying "Hello !" and "Mingalabar" every time they saw us. If the people of Myanmar are half as nice as the people in Inle, we will have a hard time leaving this country.
— Quick disclaimer though, not all the fishermen on the lake are actually fishing. Since it's a popular tourist destination, there are some that will pose for your photos in exchange for money.

LUANG PRABANG, LAOS : While we are currently making our way from the south of Myanmar to Lake Inle, we thought we could share with you something we didn't share before.
Back in December, we went to Laos on our way from Vietnam to Thailand. Not knowing what to expect, we thought we would stay a few days in Luang Prabang, visit its top attraction, the Kuang Si Waterfalls and head off to other places in Laos. But we ended up loving this touristy yet lovely little town and meeting great people, so we decided to stay there for a while. The waterfalls were clearly very touristy but they are so beautiful we weren't bothered by the crowds. Especially because we managed to arrive there before it even opened ! (Yes, really !) The city in itself had cool vibes with many cute cafes, great food and an overall nice atmosphere. It was the perfect place for us to unwind and take some time to enjoy our travels without filming everything and everywhere. We technically had the time to visit more of Laos but we decided not to. Sometimes it's best to listen to your body and slow down, especially when travelling full-time. Do you agree ?

Bye bye Chiang Mai ! Another Christmas and New Years celebrated in one of our favourite places in the world ! But this time we got to take care of two adorable cats while house sitting in Mae Rim, north of Chiang Mai. These 2 are gonna be missed ! Now it's time for new adventures ! I'm writing this from Mae Sot, the town near the Myanmar border. We were supposed to cross the border yesterday but our bus was too late and now we are overstaying our visa... Ooops !! Fingers crossed they will let us go through with a fine and nothing more ! Even though the fine is only 500 baht each (13€) per day, it's more than what we paid for our guesthouse last night. Bummer ! Anyways, another travel story to tell. See you in Myanmar !

TAM COC, Ninh Binh Province, Vietnam : They call it the Halong Bay of the land and it is just as amazing if not more than the real Halong Bay ! We stayed at Lotus Field Homestay, a beautiful and yet simple guesthouse tucked in rice fields, lotus fields and surrounded by limestone hills. A great place to unplug from everything and connect with nature. We discovered incredible places like Trang An Landscape Complex, where Kong Skull Island was filmed, watched the sunset from the top of Hang Mua and explored Tam Coc on two wheels. A definite must do if you're visiting the North of Vietnam !
