In SG50, we celebrated our country's 50th birthday. we celebrated about our achievements and how we far we have come from a small fishing village to become modern Singapore. However, what we normally do not notice are the things that we've lost through this process of development. In this short series, I look at one of the many things that we've lost in 2015.
Yishun Bus Interchange was opened in 1987 to serve the residents of Yishun. After 28 years of service, it's being demolished in 2015 to make away for a bigger Integrated Transport Hub. Even though I don't live in Yishun, I've spent much of my life walking through this mundane space and thus, it was sad to see this rustic space becoming the victim of urban renewal.
