Precision driving meets precision shooting 📷🛞💨 close up shots from gymkhana runs during MSS Sprint Fest Autogymkhana Series 2026!

My first time using the 300mm F4 PF lens, and I have to say I’m thoroughly impressed! Having used its F2.8 brother, I was initially skeptical about this lens’s performance, but it proved otherwise. It’s a really sharp lens with great autofocus and stabilisation. If you’ve ever shot gymkhana before, you’d know that its not like regular motorsports panning as the cars are in a constant state of rapid change of direction. I was impressed by the lens’s ability to keep up with the fast-moving and chaotic scenes, maintaining focus on the drivers’ faces. The stabilisation also blew me away as I maintained sharp shots at shutter speeds as slow as 1/15s. All this in a lens smaller and lighter than my trusty 70-200 makes it easy to carry around and easy to travel with. For something this size, this lens really packs a punch! Maybe it’s time I got one of these too 😂😂

Absolutely sending it with Ethan!

If watching his sharp and poised driving from the outside isn’t impressive enough, riding along inside is something else. There’s so much going on inside the car in those 60 seconds on the course and I have so much respect. Beyond navigating the course, you can see him looking beyond to the next corner, pitching the car in the right angle and finding just the right amount of grip as the tires lose traction.

Riding with Ethan was much more aggressive than I thought it would be. It felt really different from drifting as you navigate fast, sharp, tight turns then immediately sending you back into your seat when the sticky slicks find their grip again. Thanks for the experience in your car !

Sprint Fest Tryouts is a great time where newbies, amateurs and experienced competitive drivers come together in the pursuit of motorsport. It’s one of the fewer times where drivers can learn from each other and tap on the knowledge and experience from other experienced drivers.

SFTO Edition 1 kicked off to a good start with many experienced drivers coming to put their skills to practice as well!

Heroic everyday drives 🙌🏻

held its inaugural Sprint Fest Tryouts in May 2025. It brought together drivers from all kinds of backgrounds for the common pursuit of motorsport. SFTO was designed to allow even newbies to learn from experienced drivers, and featured instructors who ride with you and personally teach you how to tackle gymkhana courses.

It was nice to see so many new faces for the first edition of SFTO! And hopefully more to come!

Bright lights and big dreams for a little car

The first time getting up close to shoot ‘s Lancerlution 3 back in March 2025, while filming a short film. Though shooting at night is nothing new to me, but it just felt magical getting shots of this bright yellow car late into the night, sparkling under twinkling city lights as we drove across the city. Maybe it’s due to having learnt about the car - its quirks, its character and its imperfections - that made it feel more special; as thought I was given the chance to shoot ‘portraits’ for this car in the city it’s grown up in.

Cheers to more shoots lads, it’s always a joy shooting with ya’ll 🤙🏻 anyway, enjoy two more 35mm film shots at the end and a screenshot from the film I was working on. Maybe one day I’ll make a little edit of the video to post on Instagram hahaha
