Escaping the heat today in the beautiful surroundings of , a 7-acre garden near Sevenoaks in Kent, arranged around a 17th-century lime washed manor house. The garden was created in the 1950s and includes handmade ‘follies’ and ruins and a formal Italian garden that all combine to give it a romantic, theatrical feel.
We finished our visit with a lovely morning tea in a shady corner of their courtyard cafe, happy to be out of the heat with our scones and tea. (PR invite)

A beautiful morning in the private kitchen garden at for the launch of their collaboration with on a limited edition collection of gardening clothes and accessories - aprons, hats, kneeling cushions and flower carriers (swipe to the end to see my flower carrier in use this weekend to tame my lavender!).
A wonderful and thoughtful collaboration and a glorious morning exploring the gardens of Petersham House. 💚

Some highlights from a weekend of Indulging our love of beach huts, coastal walks and pub lunches at Kingstown in Kent — save if you need inspiration for the long weekend!
We had a late lunch at our fave and tried not to feel too sorry for our dog, who stared longingly at the fried whitebait and chicken schnitzel. Top marks too for the gorgeous lemon posset to finish.

13 - the facade of the brand new Grand Egyptian Museum, which was quite simply breathtaking

I love Bermondsey St, and I REALLY loved the new restaurant by Spanish chef — I went with on the first sunny day in what felt like forever and we tried pan con tomate verde with manchego, Paleta Ibérica, courgette carpaccio, octopus with caper berries, and the most incredible Presa Ibérica, which is basically the wagyu of pork and the most delicious pork dish I’ve ever tried. Crema catalana and coffee to finish. So good.
The interiors are warm and welcoming and so was the service. Highly recommend any of the Pizarro restaurants along Bermondsey St — Lolo is such a nice addition to this stretch.

The world’s oldest open-air museum — Skansen in Stockholm, under a magical layer of snow over new year. ❄️
We had such a wonderful day there exploring the traditional buildings and homes that have been collected there from all over Sweden. Definitely recommend, especially if you have children — ours loved it.
