Who am I?
Hi!
My name is Edwin Östling, almost 32 years old - born and raised in Malmö, Sweden.
Creativity has always been a big part of my life, but for many years football was my main focus. I’m a devoted supporter of Malmö FF and Arsenal — largely thanks to my all-time idol, Thierry Henry. One of my strongest memories is watching him score the winning goal in a 2–1 victory against Liverpool at Highbury. When I played myself, I wore number 14, socks pulled up to my knees — just like him.
After several knee injuries, my football journey came to an abrupt end, and I found myself at a crossroads. What do you do when you can no longer pursue what you love the most? For me, the answer was creativity. I’ve always had a strong interest in photography, film, and editing, and with inspiration and support from my father, I had early access to cameras and tools like Photoshop.
I quickly fell in love with street photography, where I could capture raw moments filled with emotion, contrast, and authenticity. It became the foundation of my visual expression and shaped the way I approach visual storytelling in both image and film. Over time, my creative work has grown into a wide range of assignments — from weddings, events, baptisms, and birthdays to portraits and product photography. No matter the project, my goal is always to create visual content that tells a story and feels genuine.
