Last year, we had the chance to make a documentary film about Filmtett’s past 25 years 🎬.
From Transylvania, with a Love for Film is a journey through time ⏳, where Filmtett’s key figures share their memories, experiences, and the challenges they’ve faced along the way 💭🎥.
To make this documentary, we filmed more than 10 hours of interviews 🗣️ and spent several days exploring the archives 🎞️ built up over the past 25 years.

🎥✨We’re happy to share that in the past few years our team had the chance to contribute to several feature and documentary film productions.

Most recently, two very special projects:

🎥 “Az első huszonöt” (The First Twenty-Five) – a short film directed by Ábel Visky

🎥 “Erdélyből filmszeretettel” (From Transylvania with Love for Film) – a documentary directed by Gáspár Gábor Kalamár

💻 Both films were edited by our endlessly patient and talented editor Boglárka Simó, and of course the whole crew played an active part on set: Tommy Turos, Eduard Geiger, Zsolt Májai, Vali Turean, Orsolya Csont.

Last year we had the opportunity to work with Youth Cancer Europe, and document their gathering at UNTOLD with cancer survivors from 32 countries.🌎

Their resilience reminded us that even in the face of life’s biggest challanges, there is space for joy, celebration, dancing and sharing laughs with each other.

🎈 Reflecting on one of this year's Mentor Program films, featuring Professor Vasile Zaharia:

👉 Vasile Zaharia, an accomplished Romanian geography teacher, retired after 40 years of teaching, leaving behind an impressive legacy. During his career at Tudor Vladimirescu High School in Târgu Jiu, his students won hundreds of awards, including 5 medals at international competitions, with notable gold medals in South Africa (2002) and Poland (2004). His colleagues remember him as a modest but rigorous educator who deeply influenced generations of students.
