Finding solace in the depths of nature 🌅💙

Another beautiful sunrise captured at the Corniche, Doha. This one also features the show boat which is an iconic representation of Qatars Rich culture in its fast moving modern adaptation.
The Dhow boat, a traditional vessel of Qatar, reflects the nation’s rich maritime heritage. Crafted with a distinctive design featuring a broad hull and triangular sails, Dhows have been vital for fishing, trade, and transportation in the region for centuries. These wooden boats showcase the skilled craftsmanship of Qatari boat builders and remain an enduring symbol of the country’s connection to the sea. Today, while modern transportation has evolved, Dhows continue to play a cultural role in events and festivals, celebrating Qatar’s seafaring traditions.

Being in a middle eastern country let’s you appreciate different cultures. Ramadan in Qatar is a different vibe altogether though!
This picture was clicked at the newly developed Mina District in Doha. Lightings are placed overlooking the West Bay (Doha Skyline) and it’s the most serene sight to behold!

“Anchored”

Located at the Northernmost tip of Qatar, Arsan Cafe is an old police station built in the 1950s converted to one of the latest attractions for the residents. The cafe facing Ruwais Beach is now a heritage structure listed under the Qatar Museums. According to history, the police station provided security around harbour and doubled as customs post monitoring the boats entering or leaving town.

Was the two hour drive from Wakra to the northernmost tip worth it? Definitely! A beautiful cafe along the coastline with a great scope for photography! What more would someone like me want 😃

A tiny little bit of Qatar I saw last weekend!
Known as the “Box Park” this place is made out of shipping containers redecorated into cabins and restaurants along the Doha port. Private boats docked along the shore and a nice little place to stroll around, it was truly an amazing evening!
