Riquewihr - France
Nestled in the northeastern corner of France, Alsace is a region renowned for its charming villages, rich history, and stunning landscapes. During my visit in February 2022, I explored the picturesque towns of Riquewihr, Mulhouse, Colmar, and Strasbourg. Each location offered a unique glimpse into the region's character, with their half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets, and delightful culinary traditions.

Riquewihr felt like stepping into a fairy tale, with its well-preserved medieval architecture and vibrant facades. Colmar, often described as a living postcard, enchanted me with its colorful houses and winding canals. Strasbourg, the capital of Alsace, impressed me with its grand cathedral and the harmonious blend of French and German influences.

However, visiting in February meant missing out on the famous Christmas Markets that transform these towns into winter wonderlands during the holiday season. The absence of the markets left a quiet charm, allowing me to appreciate the region's natural beauty and cultural richness without the bustling crowds. Despite this, the spirit of Alsace remained vibrant, offering an unforgettable experience of warmth and hospitality.

Visiting Escaroupim offers a glimpse into the traditional way of life in Portugal, where time seems to slow down, and nature takes center stage.
