Toruń – miasto położone nad Wisłą w województwie kujawsko-pomorskim
Prawa miejskie otrzymał w 1232 roku, co czyni je jednym z najstarszych miast w Polsce.
Toruń jest również miejscem urodzenia Mikołaja Kopernika.
Miasto w swojej długoletniej historii znajdowało się pod rządami zarówno Królestwa Polskiego jak i Królestwa Prus. Zmieniało włodarzy kilkukrotnie.
Na szczególną uwagę zasługuje stare miasto (Zespół Staromiejski) które w 1997 roku został wpisany na Listę Światowego Dziedzictwa Kulturowego UNESCO
Możemy tam odnaleźć potężny Ratusz Staromiejski otoczony malowniczymi uliczkami na których znajduje się mnóstwo kamienic, Ilość zabytków i atrakcji które warto zobaczyć potrafi wypełnić po brzegi weekendową wycieczkę, a dla wielbicieli kratowego piwa można i pierników można odpocząć w jednej z wielu knajpek które serwują takie rarytasy.

Toruń is a city situated on the Vistula River in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.
It was granted city rights in 1232, making it one of the oldest cities in Poland.
Toruń is also the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus.
Throughout its long history, the city has been under the rule of both the Kingdom of Poland and the Kingdom of Prussia, changing hands several times.
The Old Town (Old Town Complex) deserves special attention; it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997.
Here, one can find the imposing Old Town Hall surrounded by picturesque streets lined with numerous historic townhouses. The wealth of monuments and attractions is enough to fill an entire weekend trip, while fans of craft beer and gingerbread can relax in one of the many local spots serving these delicacies.
The Old Town Market Square, the Leaning Tower, the Nicolaus Copernicus House, the Cathedral of SS. John the Baptist and John the Evangelist, and the ruins of the Teutonic Castle are just a few of the historical sites worth seeing in Toruń.
After dark, a walk along the Philadelphia Boulevard (Bulwar Filadelfijski) by the Vistula is a must, offering a view of the illuminated Old Town skyline.

Toruń ist eine Stadt an der Weichsel in der Woiwodschaft Kujawien-Pommern.
Sie erhielt 1232 das Stadtrecht und zählt damit zu den ältesten Städten Polens.
Toruń ist zudem der Geburtsort von Nikolaus Kopernikus.
Im Laufe ihrer langen Geschichte stand die Stadt sowohl unter der Herrschaft des Königreichs Polen als auch des Königreichs Preußen und wechselte mehrfach den Besitzer.
Besondere Aufmerksamkeit verdient die Altstadt (Altstadtkomplex); sie wurde 1997 in die Liste des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbes aufgenommen.
Hier findet man das imposante Alte Rathaus, umgeben von malerischen Gassen mit zahlreichen historischen Bürgerhäusern. Die Fülle an Sehenswürdigkeiten reicht aus, um ein ganzes Wochenende zu füllen, während Liebhaber von Craft-Bier und Lebkuchen in einem der vielen Lokale entspannen können, die diese Spezialitäten anbieten.
Der Altstadtmarkt, der Schiefe Turm, das Haus des Nikolaus Kopernikus, die Kathedrale St. Johannes der Täufer und St. Johannes der Evangelist sowie die Ruine der Deutschordensburg sind nur einige der sehenswerten historischen Stätten in Toruń.
Nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit ist ein Spaziergang entlang des Philadelphia-Boulevards (Bulwar Filadelfijski) an der Weichsel ein Muss, denn er bietet einen Blick auf die beleuchtete Silhouette der Altstadt.
