Andrzej Pilichowski-Ragno – fotograf, polonista i ilustrator zajmuje się szeroko rozumianą fotografią streetową. Interesuje się krytyką i teorią fotografii – w szczególności relacją tego medium do rzeczywistości, problemem „prawdy” obrazu fotograficznego. Prowadzi również zajęcia z fotografii portretowej, reklamowej i postprodukcji obrazu. Obecnie pracuje nad doktoratem z fotografii w krakowskiej ASP, prowadzi zajęcia w Otwartym Studium Fotografii Politechniki Krakowskiej, Akademii Filmowej AMA w Krakowie. Co robimy
Fotografia jest dla nas przede wszystkim sposobem ekspresji własnej kreatywności, jest też ekspresją na płaszczyźnie emocjonalnej i intelektualnej. Pracujemy z naszymi uczniami nad bardzo różnymi gatunkowo fotografiami – od działań abstrakcyjnych, poprzez fotografię portretową, dokumentalną, pejzażową, streetową, reportażową, z realizacjami konceptualnymi włącznie. Niezależnie od charakteru projektu dążymy wraz z uczestnikami kursów do znalezienia indywidualnego języka wizualnego, najlepiej dopasowanego do specyfiki projektu, ale też zbudowanego na emocjonalnym zaangażowaniu w fotografowaną rzeczywistość. Fotografię traktujemy jako badanie często nieuświadomionych obszarów naszej kreatywności ale też jako ćwiczenie umiejętności rozumienia i nazywania otaczającego nas świata, nie zapominając o elemencie twórczej zabawy. Jako nauczyciele staramy się przyjąć postawę przewodników i wspierać uczestników naszych warsztatów w poszukiwaniu ich osobistej prawdy, nie narzucając swojej własnej. Jak powiedział Bruce Lee: „dobry nauczyciel chroni swoich uczniów przed swoim własnym wpływem. On po prostu pomaga im eksplorować samych siebie”. Tematyka warsztatów

ImageWorks is a photographic education project aimed at all photographers who are seeking to forge their own path in photography and want to develop their skills in terms of technique, aesthetics and concept. Anita Andrzejewska - photographer, children's book illustrator and traveller. In her creative work she explores the themes of otherness, spirituality in traditional cultures and the subjectivity of perception, always working in a close and personal relationship to the surrounding environment. She specialises in the gelatin silver process and is represented by Leica Gallery in Poland and Galerie Camera Obscura in France. She is in addition a mindfulness trainer, using mindfulness and contemplative psychology in the field of education and conducts Art and photography classes at, among others, the Warsaw School of Photography. Andrzej Pilichowski-Ragno - photographer, Polish language scholar and illustrator, deals with street photography in its broadest sense. He is also interested in the theory of photography - especially the relation of the medium to reality and the problem of "truth" in the photographic image. In addition, he teaches portrait photography, advertising photography and image post production. Currently working on a doctorate in photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, he also teaches at the Open Studio of Photography at the Krakow University of Technology and the AMA Film Academy in Krakow. What we do
For us photography is above all a way of expressing not only our own creativity but also expression on an emotional and intellectual level. We work with our students in a wide variety of photographic genres - from abstract, portrait, documentary, landscape, street and reportage, to conceptual projects. Regardless of the nature of the project, we stimulate course participants to find their own visual language best suited to the requirements of their project and importantly, engage their emotional involvement in their work. We perceive photography as being an exploration of often unconscious areas of our creativity, but also as a practice in understanding and naming the world around us, including the element of creative play. As teachers, we take a guiding stance and support our workshop participants in their search for their own personal truth, without imposing our own. As Bruce Lee said: "A good teacher protects his students from his own influence. He simply helps them to explore themselves". Workshop themes
Masterclass - an eight month mentoring programme - working on an individual long-term project culminating in a group exhibition in a gallery in Krakow
Analogue Photography - a complete course which teaches the silver print process in the darkroom, from exposing and developing the negative through to its interpretation in the print. Portraiture (studio, indoor and open-air) - different forms of lighting (studio, ambient and mixed), working with the model, photo editing. Street - candid photography in the public sphere.
