Tomb of Asif Khan.
Miraz abul hassan (asif khan) was brother of impress noor jahan and father of arjuman bano (the lady at taj agra) , in the 8th year of emperior shah jahan resign , was made khan-khanah and commander in-cheif and governor of lahore a year later.
ASIF KHAN died in 1641 AD, shah jahan constructed the tomb in 4 years 1645 AD, at the cost of 0.3 millions.
The Tomb main chamber is octagonal structure with a high bulbous double dome, standing in the center of a vast garden, divided into four squares, once set with reservoirs, fountain and pathways.
It was a fabulous momument originallyadorned with profuse stone inlay works on its exterior and veneered with bold stucco tracery, tile mosaic and ghalib kari in the interior. The high bulbous dome was originally covered with marbles veneering and the interior including the floor was decorated with precious stone marble inlaid.

JAHANGIRS TOMB
Jahangir the fourth Mughal Emperor of India, died in (1627AD) at Rajauri on his way back from Kashmir to Lahore. He was buried in a spacious walled garden of Empress Noor Jahan called Bagh-e-Dil Kusha at Shahdara on the bank of river Ravi five kms north west of then city of Lahore. His tomb was built and completod by Emperor Shah Jahan at the cost of one million rupees in (1637 AD). The garden measures 1538x 1538 feet.
The tomb is monument of surpassing beauty and the finest ornament of Historical .Lahore and is considered the most magnificent Mughal edifice in the Indo-Pak Sub-Continent after the Taj Mahal at Agra. The tomb is a single story structure, Square in plan with about 267 feet, consist of a platform with tall octagonal comer towers and a projected entrance in the middle of each side. The exterior side of the monument,
including the lowest stage of the tower has a Red Sand stone facing with rich panel decoration inlaid with marble decorative motifs. The four cormer towers with white marble cupolas rise in five stages to a height of hundred feet with zig zag inlay of white and yellow marble. The building is divided into series of vaulted compartment. The interior is embellished with floral frescos delicate inlay work pietradura and brilliant marble intarsia of various colours. The marble cenotaph with its delicate and colorful pietradura is engraved with the ninety nine attributes of Allah. The tomb suffered much at the hand of Lehna Singh, one of the three Haakims (Ruler) of the Lahore before Ranjit singh, Ranjit Singh also stripped it of its choices ornament to decorate the sikh temple at Amritsar. It was also used as residence of Amise an officer of sikh Army of Spanish origin and Sultan Muhammad Khan, brother of Dost Muhammad Khan of Kabul, which caused great damage to the mausoleum. The British Government repaired it in 1889-90. Conservation work continued with some intervals and is still in
progress.
