• They can live 60–70 years or more in the wild.
• Only about 1 in 1,000 hatchlings survive to adulthood in the wild.
• They are listed as endangered due to threats like plastic pollution, fishing nets, and habitat loss.
• They have an amazing natural navigation system and can find their way back to the exact beach where they were born decades later.
