This is my first attempt at capturing star trails using a telephoto lens. I shot each JPEG frame at f/2.8, ISO 640, and an 8-second exposure over a span of 20 minutes. To get the correct exposure for the foreground, I took a separate RAW (CR3) shot. For the star trails, I captured over 90 JPEG images. However, due to the lighting on the Mama Mary statue, it was overexposed in each of the star shots. Blending the CR3 foreground shot with the star images has been quite challenging.

Now that I know the location of the North Star relative to the statue, I’m keeping an eye out for an hour-long power interruption to capture a better star trail shot, haha!

Whispers of Dawn

Before the sunrise, twilight sings,
In yellow, blue, and purple rings.
The winding road, so still, so wide,
Awaits the dawn with gentle pride.

✨ A Dance of Light and Stars 🌌

This Milky Way shot is composed of 5 photos, each captured at different levels of exposure to bring out the magic in both the sky and the foreground. The bright lamp posts illuminating the scene posed a challenge, but with careful editing, I was able to balance their glow with the natural depth of the sky above. The result is a harmony of artificial and celestial light, revealing the beauty that hides in contrast.

A Tale of Time and Motion by the Sea

1️⃣ Fast Shutter: Capturing every splash and ripple in crisp detail, freezing the moment as it happens. Every second counts, and in this moment, the sea's energy is suspended in time.

2️⃣ Slow Shutter: Time slows down, letting the waves gently blur as they move. The sea reveals its calming rhythm, reminding us to pause and breathe with the tide.

3️⃣ Long Exposure: The ocean becomes a dreamscape. Silky and serene, this shot blends time and motion, showing that patience unveils hidden beauty.

Let these ocean views bring the calming essence of the sea into your space. Which mood speaks to you today? Each photo offers a different vibe—perfect for creating the atmosphere that soothes your spirit. 🖼️✨
