LOOK: In line with the PNP Focused Agenda on Community Support, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, personnel of RECU 12, South Cotabato PECU, led by PLT RODNEY Z ROCAPOR, conducted a Project A.B.K.D. (Awareness of Bombs that Kill Lives and Destroy Properties) lecture for eighty-one (81) BPAT participants at Cheq Resto, Barangay Zone 2, Koronadal City.

The activity enhanced participants' awareness of ordnance recognition and identification, explosive-related incident response, bombing incident safety protocols, and the basic components of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), strengthening community preparedness and public safety awareness.

LOOK: PMSg Roderick Sunga Prudente, a dedicated personnel from the PNP-EOD/K9 Group, demonstrated exemplary dedication during his 12-day deployment as an augmentation personnel in support of the response operations in Glan, Sarangani Province, under the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) XII through the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Region XII.

Serving as part of the local Incident Management Team (IMT), PMSg Prudente was joined by elite incident managers from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region XII and OCD Region XII. The team was deployed to Glan, one of the municipalities hardest hit by the devastating Magnitude 7.8 offshore Sarangani earthquake, which claimed 24 lives, left 14 individuals missing, and isolated several communities due to landslides and severe ground fissures.

His vital role in these augmentation efforts underscores our strengthened operational readiness and commitment to community safety, ensuring that disaster response and incident management are executed with professional precision and unwavering dedication.

LOOK: In line with the PNP Focused Agenda on Enhanced-Managing Police Operations, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, and under the supervision of PMAJ JAYSON V MACADANGDANG, Officer-in-Charge, RECU 12, personnel of the GenSan City EOD and Canine Unit (CECU), together with RECU 11 personnel, successfully deployed and operationalized Search and Rescue Dogs (SARDs) for a Search and Rescue/Retrieval Operation at the Savemore Building, Barangay Calumpang, General Santos City.

In ex*****on of the Incident Command System (ICS) "Savemore Incident" plan to locate two missing individuals, the joint RECU 12 and RECU 11 team operated alongside the General Santos City Local Government Unit, South Cotabato Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO), BFP 12, PRO12, AFP, Phil Coast Guard, and MMDA. The joint team deployed Search and Rescue Dogs (SARDs) "Pruds" and "Shanks" across designated sectors. SARD "Pruds" successfully cleared Sector 4, while SARD "Shanks" gave a positive indication in Sectors 2 and 3, corroborating prior PCG K9 alerts and prompting the Incident Management Team (IMT) to position heavy equipment for focused retrieval operations.

Following the alert, both SARDs were placed on standby awaiting further instructions, with no untoward incidents reported despite minor aftershocks.

This successful joint deployment underscores our strengthened operational readiness in disaster response and our commitment to maintaining a secure environment, safe from all threats.
