𝗚𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗞𝗶𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 (𝗚𝗠𝗞𝗖) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲⚡️

Another year! Another entry! Successfully submitted an Entry (Over 21 Course, Entry # 57) to the GMKC 2026 here at The Block, SM North Edsa 🫡

The exhibit containing our Entries will be open to the public from June 1-7, 2026 so come check it out to see all the awesome (and some very huge) entries by different Builders 🔥

𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗢𝗢
(A CUSTOM PAINTED BUILD OF THE CANG-TOYS 1/100 WAR OF THE GODS - SUSANOO)

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀:
This is my very first build of a 3rd-party kit 😄 I always wanted to build a 3rd-party kit since there are so many good ones nowadays. However, since there were so many good and solid 3rd-party kits, it was pretty hard to choose. Eventually, I decided to go with the Cang-Toys Susanoo. Why? It had a unique design that made it look like an ancient deity. Its aura felt strong, imposing, and menacing 🔥 To add to its "ancient deity" motif, it primarily uses swords and blue flames to fight without using modern weapons, such as a rifle. Also, the mecha's back with a demonic face just adds more flair to the mecha's already menacing vibe! ☠️

For the build, I used colors close to the kit's original colors 😄 However, I added shading and/or gradient in most of its parts to give the Build a bit more depth. It was quite a challenge painting all the parts since there were so many! Haha. Fortunately, it had a pre-built metallic inner frame which gave me a big sense of relief since it made the build more durable and made the build process more time-efficient 😁 After painting all the parts and see the Build come together, I was in awe because it really looked amazing and retained the original kit's regal vibes. Truly, the Build looked like a divine mecha from ancient times, capable of fighting other deities. ⛩️ After all, "Susanoo" is the name of the god of war in Japanese folklore!

𝗚𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗠 𝗘𝗫 (𝗥𝗙𝗩)
(A STRAIGHT BUILD OF THE HG 1/144 GUNDAM EX)

𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬:
In many series, a Gundam usually has relatively bright colors and is seen as a symbol of hope. However, this Gundam is the exact opposite. Instead of bright colors, this Gundam has pale, dark, and monotone colors. Instead of being seen as as a symbol of hope, this Gundam is seen as a symbol of despair 💀 This irony just makes the Gundam all the more awesome and epic! In the series, it was treated as a main "villain". It easily destroyed and incapacitated so many mobile suits and armies. Whenever it appears and walks, there was only one emotion felt among its enemies: fear. It invoked so much fear that it was called the "devil" 😈 This Gundam is really cool!

As for the Build itself, it did not disappoint! 😁 All the parts fit together nicely with no hassle. The overall build has good articulation (fun to pose). It has this dark "villain" and eerie aesthetic in which the decals just makes this aesthetic more appealing. Overall, this was a fun and relaxing build! 👌

𝗠𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝟯𝗗 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗕𝗮𝗺𝗯𝘂 𝗟𝗮𝗯 𝗣𝟭𝗦 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗼 😁

After a college student gave me a 3D-printed RX-78-2 Gundam bust last June 2025, I have been interested in 3D printers since then. My interest further grew when another student also gave me a 3D-printed Unicorn Gundam bust early this week 😄 As someone who teaches AutoCAD at a University and as someone who builds and paints plastic models, I thought that a 3D printer would be beneficial for me in so many ways. I was initially hesitant in buying one because I do not know if I deserve one (in other words, I want to buy one for myself as a reward for something). However, after passing a semi-annual national engineering licensure examination, I was sure that I will buy one 😆 While intimidated at first due to the tedious setup of the printer and the need to learn how to use Bambu Lab's slicer and mobile app, I was successful in my first prints. Though there are still many things to learn, I am looking forward in using my 3D printer for my Gundam hobby!

𝐀𝐎𝐍𝐎 𝐁𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐆𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐌
(A CUSTOM PAINTED BUILD OF THE HG 1/144 KAMIKI BURNING GUNDAM)

𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬:
A Gundam specializing in close combat and martial arts is quite unique and such a breath of fresh air 😄 Instead of using weapons, such as rifles, beam sabres,and other weapons, like a typical mecha, it uses its fists and limbs to take down its opponents 🔥 Additionally, the fact that the Kamiki Burning Gundam incorporates flames in all of its martial arts gives more epicness to its already unique fighting style. Watching it in action in the anime during my highschool days, it felt like watching an action superpower anime rather than a mecha anime 🤩 Lastly, as a fan of the Demon Slayer anime, the Gundam reminded of both Akaza (a close combat specialist) and Rengoku/Tanjiro (slayers who uses the fire element in their breathing techniques) haha.

For the build, I went for a matte finish with a blue and white color scheme with some shading. I thought that blue flames would look just as cool as the typical red flames 😎 I especially enjoyed painting the flame effect parts since seeing the blue gradients come together to give that cool blue flame effect was satisfying. After painting and assembling the kit, I have a close combat special specialist Gundam with the power of blue flames! 🔥🔵

For the name, the word "Kamiki" is a Japanese word. Thus, using a similar pattern, I replaced "Kamiki" with "Aono" which is a word play of the Japanese word "Aoi Honō" which means "blue flames" 🫡

𝐈𝐑𝐎𝐍 𝐌𝐀𝐍 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐋𝐗𝐗𝐗𝐕 (𝟖𝟓)
(A STRAIGHT BUILD OF BLOKEES' MODEL KITS CHAMPION CLASS IRON MAN MARK L###V)

𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬:
Tony Stark (a.k.a. Iron Man) is one of my favorite superheroes, even if he does not have any superpowers 😁 (unless being a "genius, billionaire, pl***oy, and philanthropist" is considered a superpower hahaha). Specifically, I am a fan of the Iron Man from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies ⚡️ I barely know and did not watch any of the Marvel animated series (and comics) featuring him since Cartoon Network (my fave channel), most of the time, broadcasted DC animated series 😅 Anyways, despite not having any superpowers, I really like Iron Man. The humanoid suits, from Mark I to Mark 85, built using cutting-edge technology all looked cool and amazing! 🔥 The suit-up transformation and the fights were always satisfying to watch. I also loved the character development of Tony Stark from being an egocentric individual to a caring father willing to sacrifice himself for the sake of the universe 🫡

Now, going to the Blokees' Model Kits for Iron Man, it was quite a fun build 😁 The parts were pre-painted (giving the kit more details) and the parts all fit nicely. The build itself is also well-articulated and can do so many dynamic poses. It even comes with many weapons and accessories, and even an LED to light up the eyes and arc reactor 🤩 While there are some disadvantages like limited articulation in the shoulders and waist, and visible nub marks and seam lines, I would personally consider them minor since the overall build of the Iron Man Mark 85 looks cool and stunning, even as a straight build (and it is really fun to pose) 💙 I would personally consider it a good kit since building the kit was simple and enjoyable 😄

𝐆𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐌 𝐄𝐏𝐘𝐎𝐍 𝐊𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐙
(A CUSTOM PAINTED BUILD OF THE MG 1/100 GUNDAM EPYON)

𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬:
The Gundam Epyon always looked cool to me due to its edgy (literally) and sleek design and aesthetics⚡️ Additionally, it has that evil and menacing vibe complemented by its dark colors, its sharp and large wings, and its whip-like weapon 😈 It is just the perfect counterpart for Gundam Wing Zero. If the Gundam Wing Zero looks like an angel and symbolizes hope, the Gundam Epyon looks like a demon and symbolizes despair! Just epic 😁

For the build, I went for a metallic finish build with a touch of irony. I went for a black-and-white color scheme with accents of violet and gold 😄 The original dark and evil Gundam now looks "purified" and a bit elegant. However, it retained its edgy, menacing, and imposing aesthetics 🔥

Though the Gundam Epyon has a relatively simpler Build as compared to my past Builds, the custom process was a challenge. Changing the dark red color to pearl white was not easy. A single coat of primer white was not enough since there would still be a reddish hue. Fortunately, I was able to successfully change the dark red colors to a shining, pearl white in which I was really happy with the results 😁 When it was time for the assembly; however, the joints in the whip were so tight that one of the joints snapped 🥲 Fortunately, I was able to fix it with super glue and I was able to finish the Build. The Build was draining and all but I still enjoyed the process. The resulting Build looks great to me! 🌟

For the name, since the Epyon's color changed from dark red to white, the Build gave an impression of being "purified". Thus, I added the word "Kathariz" to its name which is based from the Greek word "katharizo" which means "purify". 🫡

𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲:
GUNDAM WING

Gundam Epyon was a mobile suit created by Treize Khushrenada while under house arrest based on the data of the Tallgeese and the other Gundams. The Gundam was equipped with the powerful Zero system and was designed mainly for close combat or duels while lacking long-range weapons due to Treize's philosophy on duels. Treize wanted a Gundam pilot to pilot the suit and soon enough, Wing Gundam's pilot, Heero Yuy, came with an intent to assassinate Treize. However, Heero did not kill Treize and accepted Gundam Epyon when it was presented to him. Later, Heero tried to fight and stop the invasion of the Romefeller Foundation on the Sanc Kingdom, but due to the strain on the body brought by the Zero system, Heero suffered a nervous breakdown and fled. He was later met by Zechs Marquis, piloting the Gundam Wing Zero. Epyon and Wing Zero dueled until they reached a stalemate. Afterward, the two pilots exchanged mobile suits. Soon, Zechs, now called Milliardo Peacecraft, led the White Fang and launched an attack on the Earth Sphere Unified Nation. Zechs and his Epyon flew against the Gundam pilots and later fought once again with Heero Yuy and his Wing Zero. The two powerful mobile suits clashed around the space station, Libra. They later took the fight inside Libra until Epyon's left arm was severed giving Heero a decisive win for the duel. However, a section of Libra, where the two fought, was falling to Earth. Zechs convinced and sent Heero away, and used his Epyon to destroy the reactor. Both Zechs and Epyon were presumed to be lost during the explosion.

(A CUSTOM PAINTED BUILD OF THE MG 1/100 SINANJU)

𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬:
Based on first impression, I would describe the Sinanju as elegant and majestic. For me, the Sinanju's design, especially with the gold royalty-like patterns, emanated the aura of a King 👑 The Sinanju felt big, imposing, and powerful capable of dominating the battlefield 🔥

For the build, I went for a metallic finish build. Fitting for a King or royalty, the main color scheme is a combination of violet, gold, and silver with accents of black and white 😁 This resulted to a powerful and sinister looking Sinanju while retaining its elegance and royalty vibes.

The build was also full of ups and down. It was a challenge to paint the gold patterns on its sleeves and chest so I had to learn the reverse wash technique. Fortunately, that went well. However, when I was doing the finishing touches and assembling the Sinanju, the waist peg, which connected the waist and torso, snapped 😥 It was a first for me and I did not know what to do. Eventually, I created an improvised peg and glued the torso and waist together. Fortunately, it worked and the Sinanju still looked good, but I cannot do anymore poses with the current Sinanju 😅

For the name, since the Sinanju emanated the aura of a King and based on the color scheme, I added the word "Monarch" to its name. Thus, the name of the build is Sinanju Monarch! 🫅

𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲:
Gundam Unicorn

During the Second Neo Zeon War between the Earth Federation Forces and Neo Zeon, a single mobile suit pushed back a large asteroid known as the Axis in which the latter almost caused mass destruction on Earth. After the war, the mobile suit's manufacturer, Anaheim Electronics, developed the Sinanju Stein to further study the Psycho-Frame, a key component of the mobile suit that pushed back the Axis. Later, two Sinanju Stein was given, disguised as robbery, to The Sleeves, a remnant group of the Neo Zeon.

One of the Sinanju Stein was further developed into the Sinanju, the personal machine of the leader of The Sleeves, Full Frontal. Sinanju was adorned with the symbolisms and style of Zeon and served as the flagship machine of The Sleeves. It served as an object of worship and morale uplift for Neo Zeon, especially after the organization lost its general, Char Aznable, during the Second Neo Zeon War. Due to the high performance of the Sinanju, it was feared as a threat by the Earth Federation Forces. It was powerful enough to go toe-to-toe with the Gundam Unicorn, one of the most powerful Gundam developed for the Earth Federation Forces.
