My first weathered Build! I love the look of my Gundam Aerial Rebuild! 🔥

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀:
I enjoyed watching the Gundam Witch from Mercury (WFM) series. Gundam Aerial Rebuild really gave a jaw-dropping first impression with its "tomato smashing" scene (if you know, you know hahaha) 😆. The Gundam, combined with its combat capabilities, felt magical (to me) mainly due to its bits that float and move leaving behind bluish trails and due to that ciruit design on its chest that gives off a vibrant reddish hue. While it is not all sunshine and rainbows, since the same Gundam has some serious criminal track records, it is still a cool-looking badass Gundam! 😎

For the custom build, I went for a weathered Build with a matte finish. It is my first time doing weathering and I really had fun doing it! 😄 I added some shading to the edges to give the Build a bit more depth. It was a relatively chill custom Build for me and I am definitely proud of the resulting Build, which serves as my first weathered Build ✨️

(A CUSTOM PAINTED BUILD OF THE HG 1/144 ZAKU II [Red Comet Ver])

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀:
Before this one, I actually own very few (less than 5 maybe) mono-eyed mobile suits 😅 Then I got this one from my Secret Santa during a Christmas Party of my workplace last 2025 (thanks again hahaha). Anyway, back to the Zaku, while it is relatively simple as compared to the other Gundams I built, this one is solid and menacing! In the series, this version (the original version before I customized it) of Zaku is "3x faster" and famous in the battlefied as an ace. Combined with its several weapons, including an axe which is relatively uncommon, the Zaku II has a simple design but versatile and impressive 🔥

For the custom build, I went for a matte finish with a violet and purple scheme. I added the included decals, added some panel lines, and added some shades to give it a bit more depth. Looking at it now, it has some resemblance to the Dom (which is unintentional but I am not bothered by it). Regardless, I think it came out amazing! ✨️

For the name, I simply changed the word "Red Comet" to "Purple Comet" since the new color scheme is obviously purple hahaha.

Some Taglish Insights (somewhat...) of the RX-78F00/E Gundam. Really enjoyed this kit despite the backpack being so heavyy haha. It really does have a strong shelf presence! 💪

(A STRAIGHT BUILD OF THE HG 1/144 RX-78F00/E GUNDAM EX-001 G.L.R.S.S. Feather UNIT)

𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬:
It is a Gundam with big mechanical wings and equipped with lots of solar panels...what else is there to say? It looks awesome though! 💪 Without those wings and solar panels, the Gundam looks plain and unremarkable. But with the said equipment, the Gundam basically had a glow-up and a dominating presence (figuratively and literally hahaha) ✨️

As for the Build itself, the main Gundam was really well-articuated (so much poses that I can do) 👌 However, the wings and backpack are so heavy that the Gundam cannot stand on its own and requires a stand 😅 It also wobbles easily so I had to be extra careful when posing this thing. I still enjoyed the photoshoot though 🫡
