Behind the scenes from our recent interview shoot for That We May See, a documentary by Paul Alexander Morales featuring Kaisahan and generations of Social Realist artists in the Philippines.

A few days back, over a 3-day shoot, Digibox Audiovisual Productions Co. supported a dance film production set inside a historic ancestral mansion — a location that naturally added depth and character to the story.

For this project, we provided a range of audio and video solutions, including gimbal, wireless video transmission for real-time monitoring and playback, intercom systems for team communication, as well as boom and lapel microphones for on-set audio. Additional lighting and video accessories were also deployed to support the production.

Our team members, Jay Z and Euler, were on site as equipment caretakers while also working as technical PAs and part of the sound crew — assisting across multiple areas throughout the shoot.

These images are frame grabs from the Sony FX3, captured through our wireless monitoring system using mobile devices and tablets — offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the production process.

Behind the scenes with social realist painter Antipas Delotavo ✨
With over 50 years of painting, Delotavo has become a leading figure in social realist art. We explored the stories behind his powerful works, including his famous “Itak sa Puso ni Mang Juan” (1978), known for its critique of corporate exploitation — featuring a Filipino man with the Coca-Cola logo in the background, where the "C" is shaped like a dagger.

His art captures the struggles of laborers and the urban poor, with a special focus on Marcos-era construction workers.

Before his rise in the art world, Delotavo had a deep interest in film, working with directors like Mike de Leon and designing the iconic poster for Sister Stella L, which he shared with us.

This is part of our ongoing work for As We May See—an upcoming documentary by Paul Alexander Morales, co-produced with Digibox Audio Visual Productions.

I’m saddened to share that Antipas Delotavo passed away last December 2. It was an honor to meet him last October—our conversation before the interview, while setting up the cameras and lights in his studio, was truly inspiring. His legacy as one of our most important social realist painters will live on. Grateful to have crossed paths with him.

Behind the scenes with veteran illustrator and cartoonist Jess Abrera ✨
We had the privilege of visiting him in his home studio, where he shared stories behind his art and his decades of shaping Filipino visual satire.

His series “Pinoy Nga!” humorously captures the quirks and contradictions of Filipino life—a witty mirror to our everyday humor and humanity. Meanwhile, his strip “A. Lipin”, featuring the beloved carabao Guyito, has become a mainstay in the Philippine Daily Inquirer, where his wit and social insight continue to resonate with readers.
