In your almost 11 years of life, we gave you almost 30 nicknames, and I haven’t been able to use any of them for the past twelve months.

I’ve been putting off posting this because it’s still so hard and painful. You were my baby, my bunsisoy dungis love. But here we are, a year after the last time you were with us. I felt like I needed to share this… to give these feelings somewhere to go, and to let people know just how much you meant to us.

We battled all your health challenges one by one, and you faced each of them so bravely. You had the heart of a lion in a fluffy, chonky body. You taught us so much, and I feel like everything we went through with you prepared us for the battle we’re in now.

It’s been hard, my love. We miss you every day. Not a day passes that we don’t think of you.

I was supposed to post something about Ludo’s passing before this, but I cannot get around to finishing my caption. It’s still painful, and it’s just so hard.

But this one—something I never thought I’d post, or ever dreamed anyone would have to post—felt like it had to be shared. For the community, for awareness, for the advocates, and in solidarity with my fellow fighters.

At the start of the year, I felt a lump on my right armpit, just between the breast and the pit. I thought it was just an inflamed node from a lingering cough and colds. A few months later, I noticed a lump on my right breast. I told myself, “I’ll observe it first and see if anything changes.”

Fast forward to May, after Ludo’s passing, I promised myself I’d finally get checked. After numerous tests (blood work, ultrasound, mammograms, ECG, biopsy, breast panels, and FISH test), and consultations with three doctors, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC — low positive on ER, but still classified as TNBC) in June 2025.

Last July 12th, I had my first chemotherapy cycle. I’m scheduled for 6 to 8 cycles, depending on how my body responds. Surgery is also on the table, depending on chemo results, along with potential radiation and immunotherapy.

I’m trying to take things one day at a time. I thank God that treatments exist, that I have work, HMO coverage, a support system, and my husband , a quiet force behind this battle. None of this is easy, but I believe this fight will be worth it. For the people I love. For my God, who gives me the strength to face this, and who stays beside me through it all.
