June 14, 2026 will always be one of the most unforgettable hikes we've ever experienced. This adventure wasn't just about reaching the summit—it was about discovering three beautiful waterfalls hidden along the trail.

We arrived at Brgy. Siniloan, Laguna, the jump-off point, at 3:00 AM and started our trek at 4:00 AM. By 4:54 AM, we had already reached the summit.

Mt. Romelo is rated 2/9 in difficulty, and I can honestly agree when it comes to the climb itself. But the journey to the waterfalls was a completely different story. Steep descents, slippery paths, and challenging terrain tested not only our endurance but also our trust in our guides and teammates. No photo or video can truly capture how demanding some sections were.

Unfortunately, Buruwisan Falls, the most famous among the three, was almost dry due to the summer season. According to our guide, the falls still had a strong flow back in May. Even so, the beauty of the place and the overall experience made every step worth it.

Despite the challenges, this easily ranks as one of the best hikes I've ever completed. The combination of the summit, the waterfalls, the adventure, and the people made it a truly memorable experience.
